This is a postdoc position funded by the ERC-Synergy grant ReNewQuantum, Principal investigator : J.E. Andersen, QM, SDU. Duration : 2-3 years, from fall 2021. Location: Institut for Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Southern Denmark, Campusvej 55, 5230 Odense Denmark https://www.sdu.dk/qm Topic and required experience : The postdoc positions associated with the ERC Synergy project ReNewQuantum are expected to be able to contribute to the (WP) regarding resurgence and quantum corrections, Quantum Field Theory and Moduli Space theory as well as a fourth WP on education, outreach and science communication. The candidate must have a PhD degree in algebra, algebraic geometry, differential geometry, algebraic topology, complex geometry, quantum topology, geometric analysis, operator algebra, number theory or mathematical physics. Furthermore the candidate must have an emerging research track in the field. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate, who works and communicates well in an international team. Location : Institut de Physique Théorique, IPHT CEA Saclay, 91191 Gif sur Yvette, France https://www.ipht.fr/en/index.php Topic and required experience : This is a rather interdisciplinary topic in mathematical physics, at the interface between integrable systems, algebraic and enumerative geometry, combinatorics, topological recursion, resurgence theory, random matrices, string theory. All candidates working on some topics among integrable systems, topological recursion, resurgence and WKB asymptotics, topological string theory, Gromov-Witten invariants, geometric quantization, combinatorics of maps, random matrices, Hitchin systems, are encouraged to apply.
